Batik

This maxi dress was love on first sight. The batik print won me over. I also love the colors and silhouette. It's got open lace at the back and slits on two sides that are just the right height - perfect for the hot summer weather. I am wearing it with my vintage straw box basket - a fun play to mix shape and proportion with my maxi dress. And of course strappy sandals. Happy hump day.

Belgian 1930s Brick Home

Dwell recently published an article about how a Belgian couple renovated their 1930s brick home. I have to share when I saw the result which is this chic contemporary home. You might know by now that I am a historical house enthusiast. I love how they preserved the period details (such as the archway, the medallion ceiling and the exposed beams). They blend very stylishly with the modern elements of the home. I have to say my favorite is the living room. Which one is yours?

Lounge

Happy Monday. To beat the heat, I am in my airy flimsy lounge pants today. I am pairing them with my equally airy sleeveless top layered with a sleeveless vest. You might see tan lines on my arms -- which I got from being in the sun few weeks ago. Any ideas how to even them out? Meanwhile, stay cool - and don't forget to sunbathe properly :)

Trapeze

If you follow me, you might know by now that I like oversize slouchy clothes. This outfit is another evidence to that. Trapeze silhouette is a favorite of mine. It is free flowing and so not restrictive. I am wearing it now in my favorite colors - the no-fuss black and white. I hope you're enjoying Thursday. 1 more day till the weekend.
