Floral

Blazer: H&M // Blouse and Skirt: Zara // Clutch: Zara // Shoes: Nine West // Sunglasses: H&M // Jewelry: Vintage, Banana Republic, Ralph Lauren

Spring is in full bloom. This bright floral top sets the tone of my day. Perfect for a warm sunny late spring weather. I pair it with my midi sky blue wrap skirt. Add an orange mini clutch for a cheery pop of color. Off to get my icy cold latte to stay cool. Happy Thursday.

Culottes

Top: Phillip Lim x Target // Culotte and Clutch: H&M // Blazer: Levi's // Belt: Target // Sunglasses (old): Kohl's // Shoes: Zigi Soho // Jewelry: Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, Mango

Finally joining in the culottes crowd. As an avid proponent of tomboy style, I cannot be more than ecstatic for this trend. I love skirts but I love pants more. Culottes successfully marry these two concepts together. I am pairing them with my Phillip Lim X Target top. And I put a belt on it. I top it off with my Levi's red linen blazer and yellow leather clutch for extra pop of color. To the creator of culottes, gauchos, skorts -- whichever you name this garment -- thank you bringing them to existence.

Swedish Apartment

MyScandinavianHome, a favorite interior design blog of mine, posted pictures of this charming apartment in Sweden. I fell in love with it immediately and would like to share it with you. Built in 1906, it beautifully blends antique and modern. At 50 sqm (i.e. 538 sqft), it makes efficient use of space. It has plenty of characters and looks spacious, airy and decluttered. I wouldn't mind walking home to this every day. I hope you enjoy this apartment as much as I do. Thank you for reading.

Effortless

Blazer (old): Urban Outfitters // Blouse and Bag (old): H&M // Camisole (old): Old Navy // Sarong Pants: Zara // Shoes: Calvin Klein // Sunglasses: Just Cavalli // Jewelry: Mango, Banana Republic, Ralph Lauren

Hello Monday. Feeling effortless today -- obviously still in Sunday afternoon mood. Can't believe weekend is over already... I am loving my flowy drapey satin-y sarong trousers. I can literally live in them day in and out. I am pairing them with my oversize white blouse and crossbody i.e. my go-to commuter bag. Topping it off with my black blazer. An easy outfit for, hopefully, an easy day. Here's to a great week.

Gold Country

This past weekend was my birthday and we took a short trip to the Gold Country. It's a charming historical place where the Californian Gold Rush happened in the late 19th century. We visited the southern part of the Gold Country and explored Jamestown, Coulmbia, Sonora, Murphys and Angels Camp.

Our first stop was The Movie Railroad in Jamestown where we took the 100+year old steam train from Sierra Railway. It was a fun ride especially when the train made its tooting noise signaling its departure and arrival. Very nostalgic. This particular train, Sierra Railway 3, has been used in many movie sets such the first talkie "The Virginian", "Little House on the Prairie" and "Back to the Future III".

Throughout the many historical towns, we saw charming historical buildings like these ones below.

We also spent quite a bit of time in Columbia. We love the Columbia State Historic Park where we enjoyed strolling the historic town. We absolutely love how the authentic buildings are beautifully restored and preserved. No cars are allowed in the street and the shop owners wear period clothes. This is the way to relive the Gold Rush experience.

We also love the beautiful period shop signs. By the way, Ebler's leather and saddlery has really great quality leather outfits if you are a leather fan.

Here is the interior of sample shops that the park recreated from the Gold Rush era.

And here's me taking the last selfies before we were on the way out. I wore my Western-inspired outfit for a little bit of that 'rugged' look for the Gold Country (minus the cowboy boots...)

Thank you for reading. I'd recommend visiting the Gold Country if you haven't yet. We had a great time and we'd love to come back here for our next trip.
