Pastel

Wearing pastel for pre fall. Who says soft colors are only for spring? I love the roomy silhouette and icy blue/green color of this top. It also comes with a belt. So, I belt it and pair it with my flowy mid calf circle skirt. I finish it off with minimalist silver accessories. Off to my date night now...

White

This summer, white has become my go-to color to beat the rising temperature. I love how this dress keeps it extra cool with cutouts on the sleeves and hem. It's also perfect length and very airy. You might notice by now that I like boxy bags. This is one of the many. My fave because the shape and size add a fun touch to any outfit. Happy Cool Monday.

Batik

This maxi dress was love on first sight. The batik print won me over. I also love the colors and silhouette. It's got open lace at the back and slits on two sides that are just the right height - perfect for the hot summer weather. I am wearing it with my vintage straw box basket - a fun play to mix shape and proportion with my maxi dress. And of course strappy sandals. Happy hump day.

Belgian 1930s Brick Home

Dwell recently published an article about how a Belgian couple renovated their 1930s brick home. I have to share when I saw the result which is this chic contemporary home. You might know by now that I am a historical house enthusiast. I love how they preserved the period details (such as the archway, the medallion ceiling and the exposed beams). They blend very stylishly with the modern elements of the home. I have to say my favorite is the living room. Which one is yours?

Lounge

Happy Monday. To beat the heat, I am in my airy flimsy lounge pants today. I am pairing them with my equally airy sleeveless top layered with a sleeveless vest. You might see tan lines on my arms -- which I got from being in the sun few weeks ago. Any ideas how to even them out? Meanwhile, stay cool - and don't forget to sunbathe properly :)

Trapeze

If you follow me, you might know by now that I like oversize slouchy clothes. This outfit is another evidence to that. Trapeze silhouette is a favorite of mine. It is free flowing and so not restrictive. I am wearing it now in my favorite colors - the no-fuss black and white. I hope you're enjoying Thursday. 1 more day till the weekend.

Greece

French By Design shared this charming summer residence in the Greek island of Skyros. George Carabellas, a Greek entrepreneur, used this place as his summer retreat and also opened it as a maison d'hotes. After seeing these pictures, I'd very much rather be in Greece now.

I love how it perfectly blends the concept of indoor and outdoor living. Imagine waking up to this beautiful view, natural light and fresh air. Paradise.

I also love this efficiency kitchen and the beautiful tiles on the terrace. The outdoor garden is perfect for those summer gatherings.

Beautiful alleys. I think I could live here forever....

And this view.... this is the reason why Greece is known for its beauty. I have a terrible travel bug now and I have now put Greece in my list of places to visit. I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I do.

I hope you all had a great 4th of July weekend. I am welcoming Monday in an all white outfit. Great color to beat the summer heat. I love how this dress has a sheer panel and two side cutouts on the hemline. Nice details which give the dress some extra airiness. Happy Monday -- stay cool and airy.
