Beating the heat with ombre slouchy pants which I wear with my airy top. I love straws and today I am wearing my straw hat and straw bag. And of course fun round sunnies for the summer. Lately, I am so in love with Gazel jewelry. All the jewelry I wear today is from them. If you like natural stone jewelry, I'd recommend checking out their summer collection here. Have a great Wednesday!

Recently, I came across Jotex, another Ikea-like Swedish home product retailer. They are very similar to Ikea in price range and style. They are currently only in Europe. However, since I am a Scandinavian design afficionado, I can't help but share. After all, one could always use more Scandinavian home design. Here are a couple of my faves from their catalog - as styled by my favorite Swedish stylist Joanna Laven.

Note: A fellow Swedish gentleman on Google+ has clarified that Jotex's main specialty is in home textiles and fabrics. I don't speak Swedish but I noted on the website they also have select nice home decor and furniture. I hope you enjoyed discovering Jotex like I did.

Summer Prints

Summer is officially here in 2 days however I am already far ahead in the mood of hot sunny weather. Today, I am wearing my large palm tree print loose pants which I pair with my ikat print clutch (Do you also like to mix prints?). I am so in love with the shape and the embossed fun patterns of this silver bracelet from Gazel. Also, you might notice the reflection of my photographer in my sunglasses. Yes, that is my boyfriend. He's everywhere in all of my pictures now :) I hope it's warm and sunny wherever you are.

Blue in Green

I listened to Miles Davis' Blue in Green yesterday. It's a classic favorite of mine which I had not heard in a long time. It obviously inspired me so much that I dress in this color combination today. I also happen to love these colors (what a coincidence, maybe that's why I love the music too?). So, it was not hard to pick outfits because I have so many in these colors. I went with my fun polka dot pencil skirt which I matched with a airy sleeveless shirt. I layered my turquoise necklace and accessorize with a green clutch and blue/green colorblock wedge. I am having the perfect blue in green moment. It makes my Monday. I hope you enjoy your Monday :)

Top: Phillip Lim for Target // Skirt (old): Zara // Clutch (old): Zara // Shoes (old): Guess // Sunglasses: Just Cavalli // Jewelry (round turquoise necklace: Gazel, two longer turquoise necklaces (old), gold turquoise ring, turqoise ring (old), bangle (old): H&M), clip-on earrings: Lauren by Ralph Lauren

You can tell that I love my Birkenstock-inspired sandals that I wore it again here. I am also a big fan of menswear dressing and this shirt proves just that. I am all for androgynous / unisex dressing. Plus -- nothing beats the comfort and airy oversized menswear-inspired blouse. Happy hump day. xoxo.

Carolina's Stockholm Apartment

Carolina Engman of Fashion Squad is a NYC-living Swedish blogger that I follow. I admire her sense of style both in fashion and home. When she posted pictures of her Stockholm apartment, which is now available for sale, I knew I had to share. At 54sqm (ie 580 sqft), her one bedroom apartment is tastefully decorated throughout. I love how she uses pops of colors and fun prints and patterns in a mainly crisp white color theme. They add a cheery mood and make the place very inviting. The wallpaper in the breakfast nook and the chandelier in the bedroom are my two top favorites. I'd move to this apartment in a heartbeat. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Dressed in blues to chase away Monday blues. I dress up my black blazer with different shades of blue. The colorful scarf in blue green tone is so fun that it absolutely brightens up my Monday. I wear my flared jeans -- because I think it's about time we wear something other than skinny. Cheers to a great week.

Mid Century Swedish Home

Design Attractor, my favorite blog about Scandinavian home, recently featured this beautiful mid-century apartment in Sweden.  I have to share with you. This home is set and styled by Joanna Laven, a Swedish set and prop stylist whose work I admire, for an Elle Decor editorial. I absolutely love the earthy and serene color tone of this place. Not to mention that it also tastefully combines old and new. Everything here is just the right amount of charm -- the mid century furniture, the chandeliers, the patterned hardwood floor. The home accents here are fairly small but they are very well curated and make a powerful statement. To me, this place feels just like home.

Today, I am wearing a dress over my pants - a concept that I had talked about a few months ago here. I pair my skinny faux leather pants with my swing dress. I love this concept so much -- because now I don't have to run around cold in bare legs anymore.

For a pop of color, I don my hot pink oversize coat. I top it off with this clutch -- I absolutely love the fun details of the clutch. I think it spices up anything you wear.

I hope you like this new concept "dress over pants". Happy hump day.
